Kaz discovered mindfulness practice 8 years ago as a tool for managing stress and providing improved self-care. She has a background in education and small business management, having run her own business for many years before embarking on a change of career in 2019 – training as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Kaz teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to community and business groups, and she continues to be inspired by the changes that people make enhancing their own wellbeing and supporting ongoing personal growth.
Kaz is passionate about bringing mindfulness into relapse prevention for addictive behaviours. A participant in Mindfulness Meditation will benefit by gaining an experiential understanding of how applied mindfulness practice can lead to a life fully lived, regardless of the individual circumstances he or she may face. Having herself grown up in a family where she lived with the impacts of substance use disorder, Kaz brings an empathetic understanding to the challenges that individuals and families experience.
Kaz has an interest in an integrated body-mind approach and offers practices that centre around meditation, mindful movement and forest therapy. She brings a calm and compassionate approach to mindfulness training and loves to create a safe and welcoming space for people to connect with themselves, others and learn the wonderful practice of mindfulness.
Kaz maintains a personal mindfulness practise and attends retreats and ongoing training.
