What does the curriculum include?

The curriculum at Hills and Ranges Private has been designed to offer our clients a structured and holistic approach to reaching recovery. Our 5i curriculum is a combination of CBT, SMART Recovery and 12 Step Recovery.
We have an expert team of facilitators and partners who deliver the curriculum in a modern and personal manner in our learning center.
Our curriculum is delivered in a combination of group and one on one settings, and covers behavioral change, relapse prevention, dealing with emotions and triggers, and holistic wellness and planning for a successful integration back into the real world.
Our focus is to give people the tools to stop and stay stopped.

Do you have psychologists/psychiatrists?

We have a qualified Psychologist and Psychiatrists as part of our partnership team. If you wish to access these services as part of your stay, you’re welcome to liase with us to make you an offsite appointment. These services are exclusive of our admission fees and can be utilized with Medicare and or private health.

Do you have doctors?

Yes, we have a GP who is a mental health and AOD expert. All our clients are welcome to see our Doctor and the initial consultation is inclusive of your admission fees.

Are your staff qualified?

All staff hold current qualifications in their field of expertise along with lived experience of recovery.

Our team are also committed to growth and regularly attend conferences and seek professional learning and growth to ensure that they are at the top of their respective fields.

Will I get my own room?

We offer shared and private rooms here at the Chalet. Please make your preference known during your assessment and we will discuss the options with you.

What does a day look like at Hills and Ranges private?

A structured curriculum is presented daily between 9am and 5pm.

If you are interested in our timetable, please discuss this with our admissions team and we will send you a copy to review.

We have a strong focus on routine and learning whilst still providing our clients with the time they need to regenerate and enjoy downtime.

What are your success rates?

Hill and Ranges has been achieving a success rate of up to 90% with our recent cohorts. This is largely due to the addition of our aftercare program Acute Care Plus which has seen great success for our clients transitioning back into the real world.

Do you have an aftercare program?

We offer a free after care program called acute care which gives clients access to a weekly meeting and access to a community of likeminded people to help support their transition

We also offer AcuteCare Plus which is a 30 or 60 day program.

This gives clients access to Recovery Coaching with some of Australia’s finest addiction coaches. You will receive a daily phone check in, daily online, crisis calls and a fortnightly 45-minute coaching session to help you achieve meaningful change.

Are you a 12-step rehab?

Hills & Ranges Private combines ideals from 12 step and other successful rehabilitation therapies to create their own original 5i curriculum which focuses on not only getting clean but on staying clean for life.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is available on request subject to length of stay and is determined on level of care.

Can you pick me up from the Airport?

Certainly. We endeavour to provide a personalised service to make your introduction to Hills & Ranges as comfortable as possible, this includes a chauffeured service from your home, hotel, airport or other location to the chalet.

Do you take private health insurance?

As we are more than just a hospital rehab, we not only offer clinical services we also provide therapeutic elements to your stay from personal training to massage and myotherapy; specialist outings and activities, holistic recovery and more which private health does not cover. We have payment options available to you, so please contact us for a quote and to discuss your individual needs.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will be provided with a list of what to pack on admission, but we recommend comfortable, warm clothing as the beautiful Dandenong Ranges can become quite chilly, comfortable walking shoes for personal training and your preferred toiletries to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Do you offer support for families?

Our primary focus is the individual client and assisting them on this journey to recovery, although mending relationships is a large part of this journey and our Counsellors are often happy to provide additional support through relationship counselling, family counselling and referral to additional support services.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

We are more than happy to accommodate any special dietary needs our guests may have and upon admission our chef will work directly with you to tailor his menu.
