As a Personal Trainer, Andrew helps clients in recovery to build a movement routine during their stay at HARP and encourages them to continue it as they transition back into their daily lives.
Andrew is a previous National athlete having represented Australia at three world championships in his sport of canoe polo from U21 through to senior level. He brings with him a decade of experience training and competing in a fast paced team sport at an international level alongside full time work. This has given him a deep understanding of fitness and conditioning required to compete at the highest level, but also invaluable lessons learned about teamwork and getting the best out of people from competing alongside his teammates.
Andrew began his professional fitness career on retiring from international sport and hoping to apply everything he has learnt to his clients. He has worked in PT studio and gym environments working with a range of clients with varying fitness levels, but his passion has always been working with those for whom exercise can really make a difference in their lives. It’s this passion he brings to his work with the HARP health and wellness team as he strongly believes that exercise and fitness can make a hugely positive impact in people’s lives.
With a focus on mindful movement and function over weight loss or aesthetic goals, Andrew encourages his clients to enjoy exercise for the love of movement and sees fitness and daily movement as a key part of a holistic road to recovery for HARP’s clients.
